So I'm searching but I haven't found much, just simply searching down pipe or downpipe doesn't produce very much. I just wanted to know whats the best way to get to the two front bolts. Also seeing as how mine look pretty rusted I'm going to break them on taking it out or not but I want to replace them so what size are they?

PB blaster is you're friend. You'll be able to get to the two bolt's. It's a apaint but you will go back and forth between under the car and hanging over the fender. A swivel with an extension is also your friend in this case.

The top bolts are alot easier than you think (not much weathering gets to them). I got mine right off using a big rachet, and extension, and wd-40. I used my foot/leg to do the work, got them off in 5 minutes. As long as you get the right size socket on there, you should be fine . I got to the bolts fairly easily from the bottom of the car.

alright I may do the whole all or nothing, I'll get the air gun out with some extensions and a swivel and see if i can just do it real quick lol. Throw a wrench on the other end with someone holding it, I hope it works. Other wise I'm having a shop do it.

Well honestly I've done one before on my buddies 99 gtp and they can suck sometimes. We had leak issues afterwards. Next time I get one done it will be by a shop I think. Can't imagine it would cost anything. I've been able to go to carx muffler and act all buddy buddy with the guys and get stuff done pretty cheap. One time I had a rattle and they fixed it for free so u never know

Yeah I called one place and they said they charge $60/ hour.

Figure two hours max to install it as they have all the tools and a lift. I'd deal with paying that.

$60 AN HOUR!?!?!?! There isn't a custom exhaust shop around you...I'd be willing to bet they could have it done in about ONE HOUR and a lot cheaper than that...god I payed $30 for my entire install...

it was an exhaust shop lol. They did not seem happy to want to install it for me. I'm going to ask another shop that I've been to about it. They did a custom exhaust (2.5" piping with resonator, no muffler, all custom bent no crush bent) for $160 total.

its not hard but it does take patients if you dont have any air tools. let the bolts sit in pb for an hour and then go at it. I did the front bolts from underneith the car. lucky for me i didnt have to deal with the bolts by the cat/resonator

Dude yeah x2 on bluegtp's comment. Please don't spenf that much money on somethin easy like a downpipe. I was just sayin if the prive is good than it would be worth it to not have to deal with the headache. I've got a 91 s10 with a 350 in it and the tranny popped. I was gonna change it myself but I did some research and gound a guy in my area that would swap it for 250 bucks. Now that's a decent exchange

ah I can do the work, its just a matter of not wanting to do it. I've swapped out the trans, transfer case, rear end (put in explorer axle), and a few odds and ends on my 96 ford ranger so I can do the work. I just really don't want to anymore.

When I pulled my stock downpipe, the front bolts were super easy.
They came off from under the car with just a standard 1/2" drive ratchet no problem.
The rear ones were a different story as they were rusted and stuck.
I only did have the 1/2" drive ratchet but got them loose with that combined with a rubber mallet.
If you have access to an impact gun then the whole swap should be a 15 minute job total (including jacking up the car).

I would definitely pick up replacements for the rear studs and nuts beforehand though. You won't want to deal with re-threading the rusty old ones.
