Okay i just brought my 1997 grand prix supercharged about a week ago. Already ive had a problem which was the crank shaft but other than that so far so good. This car has 160,000 miles on it and im the 3rd owner and it seems like it was very well tooken care of. i paid $2700 for the car. Is there anything i should be aware of and also on the dash it says unleaded and on the gas door it says unleaded but the book says premi so what should i use? I really dont know much about cars but i am learnin so bare with me

You should use premium, which is unleaded. Unleaded doesn't mean regular, it just means it doesn't have lead in it, which means virtually all pump gas these days.

One thing I would check....is the SC oil. I bought my 07 used with rmm like 20K or 30K miles and the SC oil was DIRTY! Alot of people truly dont know it has oil! IMO that would be something I would check/change. Then the basic Spark plugs and so forth.

Supercharger oil. If you stand in front of you're car. Lift the hood. Look on the snout (close to where the belt is located) and you will see a allen head bolt. Unscrew that and the oil level should be near the top of the fill hole. About a 1/4 inch from the fill hole.

Oh. And to drain the oil you have to get a syringe and suck it all out. Then replace it with GM supercharger oil. You can get that from you're dealer.

Another way to remove it if you have it available to you is a hand held vacuum pump with a catch can. If you wanna do it that way instead and don't have one you can rent one at your local auto parts store. Another way as well is a turkey baster with a tube on it. I even saw a writeup using the sprayer from a windex bottle. Just a few other options for you.
