Yeah but you could get a set of cheap stainless headers for around 250. And that would be way better than those.
Re: stock pulley 99% of time, 3.4 for 2 track days per year?
and then i would be able to run my pulley fine with those?
Re: stock pulley 99% of time, 3.4 for 2 track days per year?
headers open up the exhaust tremediously. kr is because the hot air cant get out of the motor quick enough.
yea im sure you would be pretty good then
Re: stock pulley 99% of time, 3.4 for 2 track days per year?
More than likley! But you still need to scan.

Re: stock pulley 99% of time, 3.4 for 2 track days per year?
for a nice, cheaper set of headers, i'd look at S&S.
PEMs or P-logs only do so much. For the price of those with a nice 3" DP, a set of decent headers could be had for not much more.
No matter what you'll need to scan.
Need to also think about the little things such as a tuned PCM, 180-tstat, and a set of colder plugs. The car probably needs some maintence too. Radiator flushed and refilled, tranny fluid + filter change, oil change, S/C oil change, fuel filter. Hoses and belts should be checked for any rot. It doesn't matter that the car has 15,000 miles on it, no matter what its still an 11 year old car and **** ages even if its not being used.
Re: stock pulley 99% of time, 3.4 for 2 track days per year?
my car already has all of those things you just listed and i just recently changed hoses and fluids in everything
Re: stock pulley 99% of time, 3.4 for 2 track days per year?
buy an aerooforce scanner and watch thatkr, then you'll be scared to run that 3.4...........and i like zzp, but i believe that is too optimistic. do a ubend delete and a 3" d/p. heck, that done and a 3.8 pulley will outrun that3.4 with no otrher mods(your k n only). :th_nervous:

Then again in your defense, you actully have good flow mods. The person in question doesn't have ****. Your mods are helping way more than you might think. I wonder if some of your knock is false too, I know your running Higher CR but still on 93 octane I could see it being even lower than that. Hell 5 years ago with similar mods and lower CR (L67) I ran 93 octane with 0 KR. I never had much of a KR issue at all until OKC pretty much got rid of all the 93 octane stations and used this piss water we have now (91 octane).
i am running an l67 block, so i have the low CR.

My bad, I assumed you being a GT, you still had an L36. I guess you did more than a top swap... :th_scratchhead::th_thumb-up:

i started with a top swap with a cam setup. ran it for a few days and spun a bearing. lesson learned on putting the car back together right (missing oil pump gear on the crank for about a minute of run time). then felt it would be easier to keep the boost under control with the l67 since i dont have a tuner and rely on my friends who do.
