There is your problem...get a better tune.
I'm not sure what you mean by "diagram" Are you after an electrical diagram, or a flow-chart to diagnose a Knock sensor code? I can get you either one, but I need to know the specific DTC, and your vehicle specifics...
What type of diagram are you looking for? I can probably get it for you.
My mech has a computer to diagnose cars.
I called him to c if he could check my car for the issue with the kr getting stuck at 1.93* with only 30% throttle.
But he said he needed a diagram showing him the voltages the crank, cam,kr sensor would be getting from the computer,to isolate the problem.
I found one on autozone.com but it only shows what wires belong to from the pcm.
Is there such a thing?
I tought that when hooked up, the computer would run a test.
And tell him what sensor is not working properly.(Bad,low voltage)
What u guys think?
No, that isn't exactly how it works, the mechanic has to have the knowlege and ability to decipher what the car is displaying on the scan tool. It sounds like he just doesn't have that ability. Are you taking it to a tuner, or a dealer or an independant or what?I tought that when hooked up, the computer would run a test.

If it helps any, almost all engine data sensors recieve a 5-volt reference voltage from the PCM. A knock sensor only has one wire, if it is shorted to ground the PCM will think it is knocking and retard the timing. The crank and cam sensors are simple hall-effect switches, which actually creates a digital sign wave and send it to the PCM so it knows the position of the Crankshaft and Camshaft for Ignition timing, and injector sequence. If your engine starts and Idles, you can rule out a faulty Crank or Cam sensor in most cases.
false knock? sure nothing is coming in contact with something else since you said that it does it @ 30% throttle or so? I say check the sway bar to see if it might be hitting that...that is always a good place to start IMO
Thanx for ur responses.
It ended up being the map sensor conector that was broken.![]()
