Guys, I did a LIM change tonite (watched dubob's video several times) and now im having issues... im frustrated tonite and calling it quits but I want to see what you guys think I should do next. I assume I have yet another vac leak due to my LTFT's... but the lim gasket that was installed was the oem and in bad shape. I got a metal one.

    First Scan:
RACETRACK_1-31-2009_10_38_48_P from lawngoose -- Scan Depot dot net

Second Scan: (I reset LFTF's on this one)
RACETRACK_1-31-2009_10_52_26_P from lawngoose -- Scan Depot dot net

I am showing misfires on all cylinders, I double checked my wires. 1,3,5 in front and 2,4,6 in rear.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,
    Matt

Typically you will always show misfires if you start the misfire scan on HPT. Is the ses light on becuase of it?

No codes are thrown. I use DHP, but I assume it could be the same issue.

However, today when I cranked the car I got a loud whistling on idle..give it gas.. it goes away. Vac leak right?

I sprayed every line i could, no change with the sound. But when I sprayed the lever coming out of the s/c going to the BBV... it stopped.

    Anyone ever encountered this one?

I've never seen a misfire while scanning my vehicle. Whether it's with the DHP PT or my Aeroforce gauge.

Now did you mean the lever comming out of the BBV? Or the rod comming out of the S/C?

The rod comming out of the BBV uses a rubber boot to make sure there are no leaks. And that is what that guy was having trouble with. That's why i sent him a new BBV

There was a reason that was happening. I can't remember but i think it was because of the XP cam I had. though he had an xp cam also. But I guess not.

    Stock cam.

I just replaced all the vac lines that I could get to and inspected all the rubber t's.

But let me ask you guys this. When im spraying carb cleaner looking for leaks, I know I should monitor LTFT's. But since im pegged at 16.4 ... would they change? Or should I reset them before spraying?

I just looked at my gen5 blower and all there is to seal the rod that goes through the supercharger is some roller bearings.

Does not seem like you should have a vacume leak there. If you plug the leak they should go back to where they belong and not stay pegged

Update: Had a small piece of the old gasket left on the s/c, removed it and drivability is restored... However, still have a vac leak. We checked the all around the gaskets LIM/UIM and didnt not find one.

I plan to reseal the EGR plate, again. To see if that fixes it.
