Well from everything I have read the single rollers are supposed to be made out of stronger metal and are better able to handle the higher spring pressure

They aren't. They are made to be nothing more than a stock replacement chain. Plus they eat the dampner quickly.

Scroll down to prj' s post if you don't believe me.

Everything looks on point except both the intake and exhaust lift are off by .002 and intake duration is off by 1 and exauat duration is off by 2

Well it's not that I don't believe I will just have to do more research. In the meantime if I go with a stock tensioner who makes the best one?

Well ok then lol I'll probably just go stock then. First I'll research how much everything is for a double roller but if it's over 300$ I'm not gonna go through all the trouble

Ok please verify this. I thought all that was needed for a double roller was
    1. To remove balancer shaft and plug hole. Or just remove gear
    2. Install machined oil pump cover (zzp has for 55$)
    3. Install thick front cover gasket ( zzp has for 10$)

    That's it's right?

You should machine the crank sprocket and possibly the cam sprocket.

Intense emailed me back and the short version is that a double roller would be overkill for 105s and that the singles were good setups but they did wear through the dampener faster so they recommended changing it every 50k if I went that route. In the end though they recommended I just buy a new stock chain since the 105s and s1x aren't anything crazy.

Yeah, 105's work great on a stock chain. The only reason you'd need a double roller is to get more power with a heavier spring.

Well I thought eventually about maybe adding some 1.7 rollers in which case maybe with the extra lift I'd want the double but meh that's probably not worth the money anyhow.
Question is does anyone have a part number for a genuine gm chain? I found the cloyes one on rock auto but haven't found a gm one. I'm also topswapped so I have an l36 bottom end I'm assuming I'd still buy the l67 chain though right?

    Yes, same chain.

Stock rockers will actually make more power than 1.7 rollers.

Really why? The thing i like about the aftermarket is I currently have 1.9 yella terras and I **** you not their like half the weight of the stock rockers. Pretty crazy stuff. They will be for sale soon too!!

Stock rockers will end up having more lift due to their design. That, and the moment of inertia on an aftermarket rocker is much larger, which has shown to negate any benefits of weight and the roller tip.
