Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
I planned on tuning it to the throttle ergo you get past a certain % and the meth fires mainly just using it for WOT runs basicly. Id imagine there's lot to play with for the setup if I wanted to use it in the cruise cells but I guess well see how it goes first. Imma run it through a 1/2 in L67 throttle spacer since I'm not gonna go N*, Lq4. Just ported throttle body ported blower. There's guys that tune it to boost but if I had to guess doing it like that you would be using alot of meth and would have to refill more...
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
depending in the meth kit you get, most are ran off vac, or boost, once you hit so much boost the meth starts spraying, then theres jets to play with.
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
Well reguardless of how u decide to run it I thought another good idea was to have 2 different tunes/ 2 pcms. One 93 octane no meth tune for just regular daily driving and the other pcm tuned for E85 with meth
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
you can have multiple tunes saved with hp tuners. it is a simple matter of loading a tune once it is setup. takes 30 seconds.
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
Yea but the downside to that is your constantly waiting for fuel trims to relearn. This way its instant with no wait

once you have a working bin file you load and go, whos waiting for trims to learn if its known working bin for what ever its tuned for? you only wait for the trims to learn when your tuning it.
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
I carry a second pcm in my trunk that has my regular gas tune (instead of e85) on it for emergency rather then having to carry around the expensive tuner.

Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
I leave the tuner in my car, and while I don't always have the computer to make the changes, it would be simple to take it with me all the time. and with hp tuners, the fuel trim relearn is very fast, like 1 minute or less. once you have the tune setup right, there is no need for the car to relearn the fuel trims anyway.
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
Ya either way it pretty convenient being able to switch tunes so quickly 😊

so If I have 2 different complete tune bins I can revert from one to the other instantly? But see that only works for you guys seeing as how I have my buddy tuning for me so it would be more convenient for me to just have 2 pcms
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
Boom 2 pcms FTW!
I just personally don't want to be caring around a 300$ tuner and a 200$ laptop. For obvious reason like theft but in Arizona I've already had 2 phones and 1 laptop battery explode when left in my car during the summer soo ya.

Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
Id rather do it like that anyways...i can pull pcms outta the scrap yard all day long for 10$ a pop. Car thief tries jacking into my car he's gonna look at that pcm and prob not even know what the hell I is anyways...
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
I live in Wyoming and it's only hot 3 months out of the year. I park my car in the garage, so it's not exposed anyway. I do have a laptop I can tune with, but I mainly use a tablet, and it cost 100 dollars. The hp tuner cost more than the tablet.
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
What kind of tablet u use that can have hp tuners?
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
Any tablet that runs on Windows will do it. Mine is a winbook tw801
Re: Where should I go next mod wise?
Oh ok that's what I figured..
