2000 gtp new head gaskets etc didnt touch rotating assembly,180 thermo, 245mm stall conv xp cam 130 springs modded retainers 3.8 sc pulley. No egr it is not tuned out yet... my qiestion is when i start the car cold it revs itself to 3k then drops down stalls starts right back up just got to keep tapping the throttle before it stalls once somewhat warmed up itll idle about 900 rpm -+ but drive down the road doesnt get up and go and dont boost much crappy dic 4 bars or so i know its not accurate. Things ive done replaced all vacuum lines cleaned maf and iac car is not tuned yet i just want to know if what im experiencing is open closed loop and if its normal for being untuned. I want to make sure its nothing internal...

with it idling spray the top of the engine down with carb cleaner, if the idle jumps up you found the area with a vac leak.

if you didnt put a block off plate where the egr tube bolts to the manifold, thats your vac leak right there.

I'd smoke test it too, best way to find little leaks.

I'm not saying its not something vac related, but you should get a tune as soon as possible. The XP is a fairly aggressive cam, and it doesn't like to idle well untuned.
