Has anyone else had this done? They replaced the font valve cover with a new black one. The rear one on my GTP is grey. So now i have mismatched valve covers. Anyone else experience this?

Just making sure. They also informed me my LIM and oil pressure sensor was leaking and needed new gaskets. They said it would be $853 i said no. I usually do all my own work the only reason it went in for the recall was to have the documentation.

Decided to check for the coolant leak on my LIM the tech stated he found during the recall work. Sure enough there is coolant pooled on the front part of the LIM, never saw it before but was never looking for it either. I am wondering if the work / impact gun might have made the crappy gasket finally give up? In the photo you can see coolant pooled on the LIM and around the injector.

Looks like i will be ordering parts and replacing the gasket. I watched the how to video the Dave "DuBob" Richie posted and feel like this is something i can do in the garage.

I plan to fully flush the dexcool out and replace with regular coolant, new thermostat, new AL elbows, and of course new gaskets.
I might do higher ratio rockers / maybe springs.

that looks odd, when the bolts leak the whole valley there fills with coolant and covers the bolt. thats coolant on the injector.

get the mangum lim kit off rockauto, you wont find it cheaper anywhere else.

I cleaned it all up last night to see if it leaked or it was "spilled" on the engine after they tried to get me to pay a crazy amount for the gasket change. I will check tonight when i am home from work.

likely. its metal just like the delco or felpro, but only 40 bucks and comes with way more things.

You can have certified mechanic do it then they have gm pay them, so you can do it yourself if you have a buddy with a shop.
