I got my 99 GTP over the summer and i have not had problems with it till now.
Problem: The vehicle starts up normally, after a second or two the rpms drop then go up again, drop and go up then the car stalls out. When i try to give it gas the vehicle is only responsive within the first few seconds or so. When the rpms drop down the car is almost completely unresponsive to the throttle. The car will not move because it stalls out before i can put it in gear and go. Their are no weird noises besides the car trying to stay on.
The obvious: I have gas and my engine oil is in the safe zone. I do not see any check engine lights.
Background:I started up the car today and their was a very minor start up issue, i may not have held the key on long enough. I then drove 2 hours, got gas and start up was fine. Then drove another hour, parked the car for 5 minutes (the car was off). Then drove another 10 minutes, parked, did an errand for 15-20 minutes and when i came back out i was having the problem.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am away at college so i don't have access to a shop right now. Are their any things i can try to look at or do myself before i get it towed to a shop.
