how hot outside was it for that scan?
when its under 60 degrees out i can run 3 more degrees timing, once it goes over 60 its got KR. so ive got it tuned for max timing in 95 degree thick nasty NJ heat now.

Hmm, if I remember well, it was about 30C or 86F, ish.
I know that at -30C or -22F ish, the previous setup, which was Plog + DP, 3.5" and XP cam could top me 11+ pounds of boost knock free, hah. So it's pretty understandable.
For sure, that's why I sold my Plog and downpipe combo for a set of headers, felt wacky to have such low flowing exhaust to go with the cam for many years before I do the switch.
True that I had way more money free to spend this year than before.
Gen V with 3.2 is technically equal to a 3.0 on a Gen III car, right?
Which is maybe why I get some KR with the set up I have right now, intake temps after the blower must be ****ing high.
Also, are my AL104 gapped at 0.050 enough, even? (I'll probably play with the 3.3" too I have laying around too when I get around finding back my stock tensionner pulley so I have a strap that fits over it. )
104 should be fine.
and yeah the gen 5 a bit stronger.
what pulleys on it now? the 3.3 in your sig? with the pulley logic, a 3.4 would be like a 3.2 with a gen 5 vs a gen 3.
Right now, 3.2, 'cause that's what fits with the strap and tensioner pulley I have on right now, hah. So that gives me the equal-to-3.0 logic.
Got 3.1, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5 in the trunk, though.
Yeup, gonna do as soon and then play with timing and get my LTFT's right on spot.
Then try to get better than 20-23MPG highway.
You'll drive yourself nuts trying to get the trims a 0 all the time. Within +-3 is perfect, humidity and temps will make them change a bit too so 3 is fine.
Timing is your friend if you want MPG.
Yeah that's what I'm trying to reach, pretty close to being in that range, bit of tweaking to do, but yeah, it runs good for now.
Highway timing is currently 35*, but I literally only had maybe, an hour of 100kph driving, so haven't got around doing that for now.
For the highway timing, any suggestions on what to do in the table ? (Where exactly to raise and smooth)
Yeah I'm tuning my thing with his help as well. That's his timing table I have right now.
Just figuring that I maybe could get a bit higher than 20-23 mpg @ 120kph (74 mph?)
Car is mechanically sound and every maintenances are done.
Well I know the Comp-G does not help with mileage, 3.29 and all.
City driving is just horrendous, lucky if I get past 13-14 mpg
Figure I can keep dumping gas money in it after all those years of having 3.8's.
My wife's base model 06 gets 16mpg city right now. My impala is at 13-15 but it's not tuned fully yet either. The ratings for mpg is always higher then what the normal person will get.
Eying over at some Widebands, Will @ Overkill suggested to me some Innovate motorsports.
For some reasons, Amazon sent me an email with some suggested products, and it had this wideband on ;
https://www.amazon.ca/Innovate-Motor...ovate+wideband
Note Canadian dolars. And they have a 4% cashback.
I've been wondering if this would be fine, 220$ fits my budget and it comes with all it needs, or so I've read on Innovate's website.
My HPT is not the pro version so I'd do something with the EGR to log, or just log standalone and compare.
Yeah, by far the cheapest options I found out for something that looked complete / quality. Heard AEM's weren't really good either and usually what brands Will suggests I have had good luck with.
No ideas if it's a model anyone used, but eh, 220$ sounds like something that I'll be able to sell without too much loss once I get rid of the car.
