connecting rods are what we are talking about. the things that blow out the oil pan when they break lol not push rods.

Ok, so are they stronger or weaker? Someone with 2 blown up, both series motors, a hydraulic press and a gauge should test this.
I don't see why you would need to worry about the strength of a pushrod. in order of strength of blocks, as far as I know, the L32 is strongest then L67, then L36, and L26
Even though the L26 rod has the same forged powdered metal design as the L32?
So it's a question of compression strength versus tensile strength, thin brittle L26 rods suck.
