I'm throwing a code for the torque converter clutch solenoid. I've watched a few videos, i'm guessing the only way is to drop the front engine cradle, remove the suspension in the way and get access to the trans that way? Should I replace the transmission oil pressure solenoid, the shift solenoids, and the tcc as well while I'm in there?

    1.) Yes

2.) Depends. There are a lot of variables. How many miles on the trans? How long do you plan to keep the car? Etc... You can replace all four solenoids for under $100. That's for the good BW PCS and TCCS.

Eh, kinda. But not really. You don't need to pull the pump apart. You can get to all the solenoids by just removing the side cover.

I found this series to be helpful.

that's great man, thank you. so pretty much once I get access to that side panel, it shouldn't be too bad.

Not necessary at all if you unbolt the rack from the cradle. One or the other.

Have to support/strap the rack if you do it that way. ^^^

If you're dropping the pan, I think it would be silly not to. They're like $15. And since you're that far, might consider a shift kit as well.

Start by loosening the right side all but a couple turns. Remove left side bolt completely.
