Was using Mr Injector out in Idaho, found a place here on LI (actually 2, but one really close by) that use the same ASNU ultrasonic cleaning technology. These are from a 2002 GTP, stock. Look at the flow before and after, they were only flowing at about 2/3 of what they are supposed to.

I use an ASNU where I work. I'm surprised to see all six injectors dirty nearly the same like that. I also would think that if there were only following ~60%, they would have tripped the Check Engine light. That's a lot of fuel to make up with LTFT adjustments.

I'm also surprised to see they all cleaned up to within 2cc of each other.

I agree. I had the injectors ASNU cleaned on the 98 and the 01 and they cleaned up similarly, I will have to go back and see what the "before" numbers were.

Agree with you, I actually checked to be sure he had the right part# and specs, and it's correct. Does seem fishy for them to be so clogged. I'll see if I can get more info when I go pick them up today.

I use a different machine, it's a Star brand and is pretty old, but does everything that you need for cleaning fuel injectors. I can backflush, ultrasonically clean (separate unit) check balance and do leakdown tests. You would be suprised how much injectors can clog up. I never really saw it as bad on disc type injectors, usually the screens were dirty and a backflush would make a hell of a difference, though not as much as you posted. Most of the issues I had were with pintle style injectors. Fuel injector cleaners are bunk and don't do anything. I just need to check the machine out again and get the platter fixed so it'll do balance testing again.

The car runs a whole lot better than before...but that's also a reman and ported SC, a squeaky clean LIM with new gasket, new vacuum lines and the cleaned injectors, so hard to say how much is due to injectors alone. Wasn't like i was cleaning them to fix a problem, just because they were out anyway..

What do you guys get for mileage on a GTP?

I was a 90% city driver when I owned my car, it got 14-16 city in the summer and maybe saw 18ish if I drove normal. Freeway was always 30-32 going up to the cabin doing 65-70mph.

My daughters 2007 gets about 20-21 mainly city driving. Don't think she is into the boost much. My other daughters 2003. I drove for about 3 weeks for work. Highway miles. Not into boost much. And got about 24 ish. I had the DIC up to 25 for a while with 1200 miles on the reset but never hand calculated that high.
