Gen 1-2 M90's had a lot looser tolerances than gen 3-5 blowers do the gen 3 has an epoxy coating (I had the info years ago from Eaton) and Gen 5 have an abraidable coating that wears in and they are different coatings totally. Coating the inside of the case was done on some of the guys back in the early 2K's on heavily modified gen 2's before the Magnum Powers blowers came out with pretty good results lower outlet temps, 1-2 psi boost gains. But again it's apples and oranges.

Aye you keep that education coming ....I need it ...and the change in coating is what made the gen 5 more efficient ....so putting an epoxy coating on the rotors instead of an abraidable coating it came with, id be recreating gen 3 problems on a gen 5 ...no thank you ....
