fyi. if that icm is not an oem icm its likely the missfire issues. ive come across two "aftermarket" icm's that didnt function as a junkyard icm did.

the aftermarket ones will often have a green grommet in the harness plug socket, and the base plate will likely be stainless instead of aluminum.

nearly the first year of the TR's ignition issues finally went away after i swapped on a 180k junkyard stocker in place of the "new" icm.

the trans slam bang is likely the short seal issue and the trans may be coming up on rebuild time
