today I was out trying to test my multi function switch to see if the cruise control button was the reason why I'm not getting cruise. Any way i removed the switch to strip the insulation off the grey wire that should be for cruise. Got no voltage. i then tried to test the pink wire which should be power by stripping some insulation off just to make sure it was getting power. Well, when i put the switch back in and connected all the plugs and then tried to start the car i got about a half second of the starter and then dead. Everytime I try to start it I get nothing. No lights on the dash, no noise from under the hood, the keyless remote doesn't even work. So since then I've checked all the fuses and none have any problem. The battery is fine too. So the only thing I can think of is that I shorted something (and to be honest i really wouldn't know, as I dont know much about electricity and shouldn't have even tried this, but it's a little late now), Or I have locked myself out with some security feature I'm unfamiliar with. Any one have any ideas?
I should also mention that I've taken the negative battery cable off and left it for about an hour. and still didn't get anything. The car is a 2006 Grand Prix base model.
