I'm thinking it may be the Idle Air Control motor, but I may be wrong. I don't have the flashing diode tool thing or a IAC motor override tool, what else can I do with limited equipment?

Possibly, I'll check the pressure and the pump. Still think it's acting like it's an IAC problem.

i know sometime times when it a fuel pump repair kit it wont be hard to start if you have recently drove it but when it sits for a while the pressure leaks down and you have to crank it for a while

I think I had a similar problem today too. I got done putting gas into my car and went to start it up. It fired up, but then it was having a hard time idling, then no more than a second later it shut off. I then started it up a second time and it fired right up. My dad was with me, and heard it too, and was curious on why it did that.

Right? Have you ever sprayed carb cleaner in the throttle body at any point? I had to do that only once, and a few weeks later this started. I think it may have gotten to some of the moving parts in the IAC motor and is causing it to drag a bit. MAYBE

I sprayed throttle body cleaner to clean the carbon out of it, but that was a week before Easter.

Yup, that is what's causing me to think IAC. But like I said could be wrong.

Had the same problem with my 01. Would start and stall on the first start of the day unless I had my foot on the gas. All the other starts during the day would be ok.

Installed a new IAC and haven't had any issues since.
