anybodey know anything of the loads of cheap cold air intakes on ebay. i mean if you throw an k&N air filter on it should it help out with performance/fuel economy as well. i know their cheap but it seems like youd be getting better air flow.

Yeah, it sucks, waste of money, a gimmick. It'll help your performance NONE.

go to auto zone. buy a 3" cone filter. stick it on the throttle body.
done.
