My 01 Grand Prix Has a humming noise in te front end when I make a sharp turn. It almost sounds like a dry pump pumping. There is power steering fluid in it, but I think the pump is going out. I can feel the vibration in the steering wheel. Also once on a great while when I'm braking and the noise comes in with my steering wheel turned my antilocks kick in. Any ideas?

I Actually haven't checked the power steering fluid. But I'm assuming there's fluid in it if it turns easy

Low fluid / air in the lines.

I just (Last night) replaced the pump, rack and return line after the leaking return line emptied my system 200 miles from home. Not exactly what I wanted to do with that $500.00, wish I caught the leak sooner.

Check / Re-Fill your fluid, and find out where it's leaking at!

It's behind the alternator, under the heater core hoses.

Do I need to remove the alternator or coolant Reservoir to get at it?

Nope, just squeeze your hand in between the two coolant hoses and it's right there.
