Actually when he said change that to a pan drop, he meant not to flush the trans. Just to remove the pan and change the fluid in it, as well as the filter.

And yes, both gaskets are reusable. (pan and accumulator gaskets) If you'd like to see a write up on a shift kit installation, I just wrote one in the how-to section not too long ago.

Actually it took me a few days because some of the parts arrived later than expected. But if I were to do it again I feel like I could do it in one day given an early start. Probably a 9am to midnight job. Haha

Ahh okay. I won't do a flush then, just a pan drop. And ironically I just read your shift kit write up this morning. I thought it was very nicely written.

But all of the trans stuff is going to have to wait for a few weeks. My Transgo kit won't get here until Friday and I leave for skills USA nationals next week so Im gonna do all of this when I get back.

Thanks. I remember my college professor telling me I should go to one of those skills USA things because of how I did good in his class, I never got into it though.

Its a pretty cool program if you have a good Instructor. I took an automotive refinishing class in high school and I ended up taking 1st place for Illinois. But I wasn't able to use any of the scholarship money because I am going into aerospace engineering for a career. So at this point it is just a funny hobby for me.

First oil change done today. I didn't see any coolant, just dirt black oil. So I will do the second change with a new filter in a hundred miles or so.

Got it all done today! It was pretty easy, just made a mess. Glad I put a tarp down first. Lol

I drove it around and got most of the air out, I will just go easy on it and watch the level for the next few weeks.

I also put in some XADO when I filled it up, so I will see what that does over time.
