I wouldn't know but I want to say that our radios are awesome... but they are pieces of junk... why can't GM give of something decent that won't break that isn't the engine..
Yeah i was thinking it could be a short in the steering wheel or something
Well, I'm not sure how they are installed in a Bonne, but you can just take the steering wheel controls out and unplug them and have him drive like that for a while and see if it still has the same symptoms. If the problem goes away I would say that it would be reasonable to say that they were your problem. Let us know if it is.
Yeah I thought so, it's either that or the guy is touching the controls while he is driving and doesn't realize it.
no because you can be sitting at a stop light no hands on the wheel and it just goes up and up and up with out touching it at all
It could still be an issue with the steering wheel having a surge somewhere
Yeah this weekend i think we are just going to un hook the volume controles on the wheel i think he will be ok with out it
yea, let us know how that turns out, hopefully we won't have to goto round2 on this troubleshoot
pull the fuse
many GM vehicles have a feature where the faster you go the higher the volume goes. it is called AUTO VOL. not sure how the faceplate is off the top of my head of the Bonnie but there should be a control for it.
Well its not the auto volume because the car dose not have it but thanks anyway
