    Is anyone aware of internal differences(known incompatabilities in wiring harnesses or injector ratings, differences in compression, etc) from a 3.8 in a 97 Bonneville and the 3.8 in my 2K GP? Both have the K code in the VIN.

    He is asking about motor.

    The motor is the same, but many brackets and the alt/tensioner assembly are different. You would have to swap all the stuff from your 00 motor to the 97 motor.
