    I have a 04 gp with a 3800 It has a black 90 degree fitting above the waterpump on the intake on the passenger side it is spraying coolant out of where it meets the intake does anyone know what this is and what it takes to fix?     Hey thanks when I first got the car I was thinking I would be taking the intake off! This looks pretty easy!

    real easy, new elbows cost around 5 bucks too. or the new metal elbows are out there for 10 to 15, plus shipping if you cant find them locally.

    I installed new ones last night went smooth and straight forward i bout this car on a impound sale with the understanding it would need new intake gaskets lets just say I stole the thing for what I pd anyway after 12$ in parts and coolant I drove it 40 miles last night and all is well thanks for the help!

    Being an 04, you will be replacing the LIM gaskets at some point. Inevitable. Along w/ removing the TB to clean the carbon off of the butterfly valve to solve idle/driveability issues. Just a heads up.

    It looks to me like someone has do that already i can see new orange gasket material I just wonder if thats why I had the coolant leek is because someone didnt get the fittings in good or the o rings were bad when the reasembled it. I also has had the plastic plenum replaced!

    you want to loo, between the head and lim at the gasket, if its black, its plastic and needs to be changed. if you see silver your good to to.


    this is new metal gasket, on its side, you can see how thick it is, and its east to see in the car.



    and the orange end caps, well my old ones were orange too. here the whole set
