Did a tune up on the 04 plugs wires new coils , didnt get at the fuel filter looked dangerously rusty.lol. But since then under load at part throttle I have a terrible valve clatter, only mods done are open element air filter and zzp shift kit, any ideas what the problem ? Car is well maintaned with 124k on the ticker!

    Time for a oil change?

Maybe run some seafoam in it right before you change the oil.

you could have the plug wires on wrong, sometimes they run right at idle, then fall on there faces when getting on it.

even tho your N/A the fire order is the same.

Thanks guys, the firing order is correct. Motor is clean and so is oil. Im think the fuel filter may be the issue, but damn looks like im gonna be replacing fuel lines.lol

New coils? Did you use stock coils?
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

the filter, put a pair of vise grips on the line nut, lock it tight, then hold the line nut still, and turn the filter off the line nut with a wrench. this will keep you from spinning the line and breaking it.

If you've got the coils off...get the ICM tested for free at your local auto parts store.

That's a easy task as well...just to rule it out.

I'd also double check the connections at every plug/coil...sounds like you either crossed a couple or something isn't making a solid connection.

You are saying it sounds like valve clatter since you did this work or it existed before the work? Was an oil change done with the tune up, if so...what weight oil and brand of filter
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
