buy a supercharged 3800 from a junk yard with low miles. and buy a turbo kit. you wont need to touch the bottom end of a supercharged engine. they are bullet proff

The L26 is a iron block, same as all 3800 motors.

The rods are the weakest out of all the motors. It can handle some power but are more prone to breaking in higher HP builds.

I'm going to be blunt, the NA 3800 is not going to be a power house, you would have to add boost to make it something worth while.

If I was you, make this car cool sounding and lower it and make it handle good. Do a NA cam with supporting mods.

There is tons of info on this site for mods and what you'll need to make it happen.

Thank you for confirming that I was wrong. I don't want to bust anything up, do you think I can make a turbo work?

Yes a turbo can always work, you're just at the will of the motor.

Having the correct mods and a good tune is always wanted to make sure it can survive.

If it ever blew up, swap in a L36 or L67 bottom end.

A topswap would be the cheapest way get close to where you want to be.

If you don't go crazy with a topswap, you should be pretty happy with the power you will be putting down.
