I haven't been to the forums in forever. I'm over 205k now was at 120k when I first started on here. Gonna give a brief background on the car before I get started.
    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT1
Dual Flow Master 40s/ Hi-Flow Cat
    Cold Air Intake
    Digital Horsepower PCM
    180 T-Stat
    Rebuilt Top-End
    Basically a poor man's n/a mod set.

The reason I've come back is to get help diagnosing some problems and plus I miss the community.

First, I would like to start off with the dog bones. More specifically the part mounted on the motor. Mine on the passenger side has actually snapped on the top gray one and the bottom black. How the hell did that happen? AutoZone doesn't sell the part so Ima hit the junk yard up to see what I find.

Second, I'm throwing 3 fuel tank pressure sensor codes. Everyone keeps saying it's the gas cap, so I replaced it. No luck. Plus I got in my car today with a 1/4 tank. Half a mile up, the gas light was on. Weird huh?

Third, the car has been driving stupid sluggish and the engine light starts blinking at 30 mph. I had the code checked and it gave me a bank 1 misfire. I swapped out the bank 1 plug and wire, and it ran perfect for a day, but eventually went back to its old state.

Fourth, I've been throwing a Charging System Failure on the DIC and can't figure out the problem. Had the battery and alternator checked and they both came out good. Terminals are in good condition and so are all the wires. It’s also throwing a Service Theft System and Windshield Fluid Low. Anytime I want to turn the a/c the car runs low power and seems to want to turn off.

Thanks for all your help guys. I know it seems like a lot, but I love my baby and she ain't going nowhere.

Please post the code numbers. Most of the stuff you are saying is very general and sounds like what the kid at Autozone told you ...which is a bit off base.

Like that bank 1 code, it's likely P0171 Lean Bank one. That's the entire motor...not one plug or cylinder.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

At 200k, youre likely due for a full tune up, plugs and wires all around, belts and hoses and all that good stuff. You can expect sensors to start going one by one. GM in their infinite wisdom crammed that car so full of circuits and sensors its not even funny.

The news gets better though, once you have chased down all those little things that like to go at 200k, you will have a car that will last you another 200k easily. You are fortunate to live in a southern state, that means little to no salt on the roads. Up north, we have to be anal about going to the car wash. That crap they use on the roads eats rocker panels and brake lines like nobodys business.

Im over 218k in my 2004, just did water pump and p/s pump. Everything else including plugs and wires are original, im getting ready to have those done.

why would you not have done a tune up yet being your at 218,000, that's insane, it was due over 100,000 miles ago. im sure your car runs like crap at best.

and all then wires and sensors have a huge purpose, they are needed, this aint no carb and distributor motor.

I can't believe you got your plugs to go for 218k miles. While the sensors are a nuisance, there aren't as many as you think. My parents' Lexus is much worse. The good thing about these 3800's is they are one of the last cars you can service by yourself these days.

money. I dropped 3/4 of my paycheck into the car that day. And, it runs beautifully, nice smooth idle and gets about 30mpg on the freeway.

LOL, nothing wrong with working there, I figured you would have given us more info/codes if you had them on hand versus someone saying to you , yeah that's o2, and that other is probably gas cap. That's very parts counter type of talk. Please post the codes if you have them. That way we can work with you and factory manuals to pinpoint the issues.

Often a LB1 is a vacuum leak, etc. Since you have tank pressure codes, maybe they are contributing factors. Without info from you though..it's kinda tough to diagnose it properly over the internet.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Could a bad fuel filter possibly be causing low fuel pressure, resulting in the lean code being thrown?

I snapped the exact same motor mount recently after flipping the motor mount bushings in my 05, I believe it was already cracked due to a fender bender while it was a rental (poor baby), but it was legitimately snapped clean through as of last week. I ordered a new one on GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts

The part number for the passenger mount that I believe you're talking about is 24506488. If you want to make sure, just clock "catalog" on that site, put in your car year/make/model, and then search for "upper bracket".

Will stop by and get my codes read again today. Lost the slips I had. I should really invest in a obd II reader.
