Hey everyone. i am just about to finish my motor and transmission rebuild. i am currently on the final stages. the only thing stopping me are some wire hookups that i have no idea where they go. the first one comes from the battery (positive and ground) and i seems like hooks up to the starter but it dose not. the second issue i have is that there is a connection that dose not seam to hookup anywhere. it it located on the transmission by the maf sensor
    here are the pics

this looks like the ground wires that would bolt to the trans bell housing with that bolt that has the stud on the end, same place as the neg battery cable. right above the starter.

if not the grounds, then they could be the starter wires, only one set will fit the stud on the trans bolt so witch ever ones fit would be the grounds.

and this looks like you need to hook up the trans wires to the shift selector 2 plugs iirc. on the side facing the wheel well on the side of it.

if they have small eye loops, they would be the starter wires.

the only wires with eye loops are the grounds and the starter wires. everything else has a plug.

yes to the solenoid with the small nuts and studs.

im not sure what wire goes on what side tho. trial and error will get it done lol

Those two large gauge wires. The one with just a loop is ground to trans stud. Teh other should usually have a red band on it, or there's a tab that sticks off the loop. That's the positive starter supply.

The two pin white connector. That's ABS wiring in the wheel well likely. If that connector were black..I'd call it magnasteer. but it's white/gray.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Okay i have the starter hooked up. i still dont know what that wire is because my abs sensor is hooked up. now my problem is that the car starts and then dies after i turn the key over. i did some research and since i acidently cut my fuel line when taking the motor out and clamping it back together that there is air in the line. would that be the problem? if so would all i need to do is locate the Schraeder valve and release pressure?

You don't have air in the line. Trust me..that disappears in a millisecond on the first crank over.

    Unplug your maf sensor.
BTW it's kinda confusing that it starts and dies when you turn the key over. Can you elaborate that in some different words. Not sure we understand what you mean.
