So I've beg trying to figure this out for awhile now.i have a99gt when I'm driving the car bogs down when under acceleration light or heavy.sometimes it has no hesitation our anything like that it gets up and goes no problem but sometimes higher rpms it sputters. I know I have an exhaust leak but doubt this could do wheats going on. How can I trouble shoot if injectors are bad? Don't have a voltage meter, but what all could do this? I've changed the coils, ignition control and wires, fuel filter please I need some help

What you mean metal sleeves on wires? I havnt checked the maf yet but maybe fine cleaner would work? It also sometimes surges into the next gear or hesitates at higher rpms but don't think it is the ttanny

Dat exhaust leak.. is she before or after the o2 sensors? Cuz that'll do it. So will a clogged cat.

I can tell yuh, dis is not 6 injecteers failin all at the same time.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Why take off the metal sleeves around the plugs?

Some people get misfires from them.

I never did, but I took them off anyway.

They are kind of a last resort thing.. But it's good to do it early so that's out of the way.

ok so i pulled the plugs cleaned them off and put them back because they seemed like they were fine and also checked the gap and they were fine, when i put them back in and started the car, i noticed a slight noise, i wouldnt say knock, maybe a rattle? but something moving around the top of the engine when i put some gas to it, i had the hood open so i could hear it. but the guy before me that had this car said he swapped out the wires which i know he did and he put in autolight platinums?? should i get different ones?

ok so i had it scanned at autozone and it said an o2 sensor was bad, the code came up twice is what this guy said. the exhaust does have a more distint noise. so he said it was the one by the passanger side? im guessing he is refering to the one right behind the u-bend right? do i need a special tool to undo the sensor or can i just get a wrench in there and get it out?
