Hi Guys,

Bit of a noob to this forum but have used other forums for different cars before.

At the weekend I used a how to video to change out the LIM and UIM gaskets and also the whole UIM was replaced.

On attempting to start up the car again it would not crank over. It just makes one loud clunk and then nothing. At first I thought it was a dead battery as all the dash dimmed while trying to start it but charged it up and still the same and also jumped it from a battery used for racing and still no difference.

I have also taken the starter motor off to check that and that works perfectly fine.

The battery was disconnect for a good 8 hours while I was changing the gaskets so could any of the anti theft stuff need resetting? I also did try to put the transmission into neutral while the battery was disconnected could this cause that kid of stuff cause it to need a reset?

While the UIM was off a lot of coolant did spill out from the area around by the thermostat housing. Is there any way coolant could get into a piston with the LIM still on which then may have caused a piston to hydrolock which is why it won't crank over?

Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance
