I'm getting the parts together to do a top swap with cam and header upgrades. I have a lifter that takes a short time to pump up and would like to replace them all. I've heard bad things about the Comp Cams lifters so I don't think I'll go that way. I've found some LS motor lifters that say they fit 4.8,5.3,5.7 and 6.0L and the ad said LS7 also. Does anyone know if these will work in a 3800? Thanks for the help.

Thanks Bill, I was hoping you'd be the one to respond. Looks like I'll be picking a set up. Unfortunately they come in a set of 16 so I'll have a few spares.

True story: sold them and threw my stockers back in.

    Even the questionable one.

Idk how much they are off of Texas speed I picked mine off of JEGS or summit (around $120) for a pretty good bargain for 16. I like getting 16 because you can pick and choice your favorite 12.

Nothing. Bought them for a cam install. Sold cam and lifters.

One of my stockers has a nice gouge in it, the cam lobes are fine though. Cleaned and reinstalled.

Was it that VS you were talking about that you sold?

I had actually purchased a GT2. Not ideal for my setup, however it would have sounded great and have been relatively easy on the valvetrain compared to the more aggressive cams, yet not nearly as much overlap as the NIC. Making it easier to tune, better fuel economy, etc.

I just checked Texas Speed and they have a set of 12 for $98+$13 to ship. Summit has the set of 16 for around $117 + their handling charge, usually $10. I just have to decide if I want the 4 spares for about $15 extra. Thanks for the heads up on Texas Speed Matt! Even if I go with Summit, that will be a good resource. Between you and Bill I might get this thing swapped this year!
