Granted it was a Cummins Ram, but still a turbo diesel.

His truck was his "shop" truck. He owns a diesel performance place so he threw everything at it that he could. He ran higher boost at one time but it was blowing his injectors out so he had to dial it back.

He had 38's on it and could roast all 4. The truck is a serious beast.

On my Stealth it is rated at 19 city and 24 highway. With an intake, downpipe and test pipe as my only flow mods I AVERAGED 26 mpg daily driving it. I got more mileage than it was highway rated for.

Unless of course the engine is really working to pull that air in. What does an intake gain at WOT, like 5 hp? so pull it down to 20% (or something like that) of that airflow and the restriction is not as big of a deal anymore. Intake could help mileage, could hurt it. Ill believe what i believe for now until i see tests. And I run open cone and ported TB anyway.
    Show me then.

It's kinda common sense that flow mods make better gas mileage. Mine car running a really rich tune gets better gas mileage than when i was stock.

Because in closed loop it runs at 14.67 anyways?

Increase engine efficiency and it wont have to work as hard to achieve same work.

Super slow in a short distance yes. Why don't you race one over 1000 miles and see who wins.

Just came to my GP from a 2000 jetta tdi, 35 mpg. That was nice, however all The expensises with owning a vdub are wayyy worse. Input over 1500 into fixing a flimsy junk a** side cover gasket on the transmission. The tranny in those are worse than the ones in our cars. So I'm stickin with my GP.
