Ok, First I apologize if I have screwed up on the posting but it is my first one. 1998 Grand Prix GT 3.8k. I replaced the oil filter adapter gasket and I am concerned that I can not see oil flow in the valve cover after starting. Replaced gasket, added oil and filter, took the injector fuse out, cranked until oil light went out, replaced fuse and started. I only let it run for a little while before noticing the lack oil flow. Is this normal? Should I be able to see oil flow with the filler cap off?

I can't see any oil flowing with the oil cap off. If your oil light isn't on you should be ok but the only way to really know is to hook up an oil pressure gauge.

The oil comes thru the pushrods and lubricates the rockers/lifters. It doesn't have a heavy flow...

If u installed the spring and relief valve in the housing all should be fine.

Did u pre-fill the oil filter?
Not a must but some like to do this.

The pressure switch was working but had a leak. Replaced it with a new switch and works the same, oil light off. I did install the the "plunger?" and spring and filled the filter before starting.
