A quite large vocabulary also trumps dummy posts, right Turtle?
My vocab's range and flexibility are very limited at best.
Me phail naow.
Also keep in mind it's not only stoping distance but control over the car. A car with tires sliding will be difficult if not impossible to steer. Abs allows the average driver to mash the brakes and still retain control over the car.
In theory abs should keep the tires rolling just on the edge of sliding. This would allow max friction and stopping power. Unfortunately, the abs in our cars is more of a slide roll slide roll system.
My Blazer handled about the same with ABS in the snow as it did with no brakes at all one day in the summer :p
Anyway, swapping ABS with non-ABS? Could I get both vehicles running with some basic tools, or would there be some serious work involved?
Okay, moved the whole ABS delete HERE.
So, back to deleting junk under the hood; I want to get rid of the overflow bottle, but I've heard you can't use the washer fluid bottle (which was my first thought) and I don't want a big aluminum tank under my hood either, so any suggestions- and is there anyway to maybe modify the washer fluid bottle to work?
use a regal over flow, its kinda hidden on the right side by the air box, all you see is the filler neck.
you can see the filler top on the far right of this pic.

I'll trade you your coolant overflow bottle for mine. Mine is just like the one scott has pictured.
A little bit but it probably won't make a noticeable difference.
:( Still better than the ugly ass bottle that beats on the belt and dumps crud all over the firewall I guess. Oh, wait- you were wanting to trade weren't you :p.
