rubber is there for comfort and reduction of customer complaints not becuase it is better. solid mounting is actualy better more power is sent to the wheels insted of being used to twist the engine on the rubber.

look at engine plates for race cars if they where not better for racing would they use them?

i had poly and solid lowers in my old 01 GT with an XP cam set to idel at 650rpm it was perfectly fine. the shaking did not bother me at all but it was there
They are both suspension parts and they both absorb energy that we don't want was my point. Putting a metal block in there is going to do nothing for adsorbing that energy.

Power yes but ride no. I wouldn't compare a daily driver W-body to a race car. Race cars are built to race not to cruise down a city road.

What did you have for solid lowers? Poly, metal blocks, filled mounts?

You are probably one of the only people I know that had an XP cam and didn't change the idle from stock. I am talking about how to eliminate the shaking not living with it. I bet if you would have raised you idle you would have had no shaking at all.
