So Im thinking about getting a NIC cam from zzp. I was wondering if I needed the upgraded springs, retainers, rollmaster double roller, and the comp OE-R lifters. Or would I be fine without it. Im going to top swap in the near future.

so what benifit does the NIC have over other cams. i read on ZZP that it is a difficult cam to tune. but that it can make great power with minor mods.

its difficult to tune if you dont use a wideband. the reason it makes 'great power' is because of the large amount of overlap (both valves open at the same time) so it bleeds boost. this allows you to run smaller pulleys than normal.

He's topswapping, so it's assumed he would install the cam at that time.

Hold off on the cam, do it all while you already have it apart. As said before, you don't want to put that cam in without a supercharger or it'll be bad news for your motor.
