viton valve seals, LSx springs, home port and valve job. done.
Viton Valve Seals...
Comp Cams Valve Locks...
L32 Valves/Heads...Ported & Polished. Done. Bigger valves aren't going to really benefit cost with a baby cam. Also...to add to worthless Comp lifters...they are very noisey and clattery.
Stock. Soak them in oil for a while before you put them in and pour a little oil down the holes.
ah it seems like just yesterday all these parts were at my house. lol
I use stock lifters...bought them as LS7 Lifters but GM has used the same lifter in their pushrod motors since what...'94?
so I discovered yesterday I'm going to need a new set of valve covers atleast the back one... its got a little bit of a crack in it could probablly epoxy it but I don't know that it's really worth the risk and all the work of doing so since I can get a set on here for like what $10
also the spark plugs "tr55s" were still in the heads I pulled them and not one of them was the right gap I know theres a bunch of people out there that think there is no way to gap Iridium plugs... but even if you belive that nonsense you should always check the gap "even if it's so called pre gapped" before you put them in your car.
Just thought I'd say that idk why...
I'll bet that valve cover cracked when we dropped the motor out. Or that's why so much oil was everywhere lol
no I think it's from somebody driving the truck before I got a chance to unload it all so the trans probablly slammed into it or somthing idk Its not a bad crack but its there.
so should I take these heads to a machine shop or use them as cores for some zzp refurbs with 90lb springs for 350?
and I was thinking about running a ssm90 belt setup? yeah neh?
So 90lb springs
New valve seals and locks
Going to gasket match the heads and take them to a machine shop to get refreshed
Arp head studs
Comp rocker bolts
valve cover gaskets
rear valve cover unless I epoxy mine together
Head gaskets "I don't know what to get Ive seen some for $40 and then others for close to $160
Ssm90 belt setup with modular 3.4 pulley
Fuel pump rewire
34# injectors
injector o rings
Going to get the L67 fuel rails cleaned up and pwder coated
Thinking of making some custom fuel lines
Power log or headers, "I'd like headers but power log is cheaper and easier for me to put on"
Arp header bolts
Felpro exhaust manifold gaskets
Egr block off
I also need to order another gtx tip and get those put on
Ported and ploished l67 tb
throttle body gasket
Idk the exact condition of the supercharge yet fingers crossed its in good shape and litte work is needed
supercharger gasket
Got my l67 Lim modded thanks to bill and his thread still need to gasket match it to the heads
Thinking of a tb spacer but idk if it's really needed since I blocked the coolant ports in the lim
Aluminum intake gaskets
04+ thermostat housing with new 180 t -stat
Thinking of this to go with the new Hood I know it's not really going to do anyhting but it might help clean up the engine bay a little
some rtv and I think thats close to everything It seems like the most expensive part of a top swap is bolts and gaskets... I think I'll have 300 in just those
Since you'll have the heads off anyway headers shouldn't be bad at all to install. The supercharger is in good condition. It's still on my car lol.
You don't have to weld it just helps seal them better. A shop could probably do it cheap.
