I am replacing my lower intake gaskets with the aluminum ones and I was wondering if I will have problems with them sealing to the intake manifold. The manifold has some pitting (see pictures below). Comments, suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.

Machining it won't be cheap. (I was quoted $150)

New manifold might be similar in cost though.

Spray the cleaned surface with some Permatex Copper spray and it will fill in the pits, then install as usual.

I have seen this many times. It shouldn't be an issue at all. As a seasoned installer, I'd put the new gaskets in and wouldn't use any RTV on the LIM itself (only in the corners where it should be).

I've seen many worse and they have no problems with a new gasket. Hope that helps.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I wouldn't worry about it, mine were similar and I didn't use anything
