    2000 Grand Prix 3.8 natural.

No problems in the winter. Seems worse with heat. Just driving along, usually slowly, and it dies. However it starts right up again. Hasn't happened yet at road speed. Doesn't happen idling. No codes. He has not noticed the tach dropping to zero but he has noticed sometimes it stumbles a little, but that is a rare occurrence.

I just read another post that sounded similar and it was the crank positioning sensor. Does that sound like this? Or is there something else I should be looking at also?

I know the CPS is behind the harmonic balancer. Is that very easy to get off?

I'm doing this for a friend so I'm not familiar with this car.
