I have a 2002 grand prix gt thats been driving fine until 2 day ago, i drove to work with no problem, car started fine, drove great, no smell or smoke. The only thing that I had was an oil change coming up which i was gonna do the next day. When i got out of work that same day my car wouldnt start, i checked the oil and was a quart low, I noticed alot of condensation on the inside of the oil cap, i put in a quart ad tried to start it, car started when i stomped on the gas, car was misfiring, running very rough and a ton of smoke pouring out the exhaust. I took off the intake manifold and found oil in the upper portion, changed the LIM gaskets, cleaned it out, changed plugs, wires, oil. Ther was NO coolant in the oil. someone suggested hydrolock. Car wont start unless the MAF is unplugged, white smoke pouring out of exhaust, as soon as its pluged in car shuts off and wont start, if it does start by chance, it runs rough and stalls out then it wont even try start........... I have ran out of ideas, need help. Like i said before the ran perfect until i got out of work

Please pull the plugs and read them. Is one different than the rest. Unplugging the maf to start it typically means you have either a bad maf or a fuel/air problem.

I'm thinking the first things you check are.
    MAF
    Injector
    Fuel pressure
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

plugs are pre gapped to specs, but i checked them to make sure. when my car was finally towed before i started the work, i tried to start it and it made a loud poof sound and exhaust started pouring out of the engine bay, that why i thought it was the intake manifold because it looked like the exhaust was pouring out of that area. The only codes it read was for maf when it was unplugged other then that...... nothing.

when you say revving it up are you in neutral or park? you could be hitting the rev limiter, does it bog when in drive going down the road when you floor it?

Could be fuel pressue, or a clogged cat. Has the fuel filter been changed?

One more time... plug the f'n plugs and tell us which cylinder looks different than the rest.

You don't do that.. It's tough love time.

No ratteling, or rotten smell, I'm starting to think a vac line or another sensor, would a bad map sensor cause it to not rev up past 3000rpm? Or I connected the wrong harness to the wrong sensor, damn this is frustrating.

Changed map sensor, car won't go over 20mph, bogs and acts like it wants to misfire, pulled plugs again, this time they had alot of carbon on them, when I play with the throttle under the hood there is a sound of suction when I increase the throttle fairly quick, could this be a vac leak or what? I can't tell where it's coming from but it sounds closer to the throttle body

Sounds like a Vac leak, SOmething that bad would toss a Lean bank code though. Pull the line off the top of the Fuel pressure regulator and see if gass comes out while at a idle

Replace the MAP sensor and go from there. Also replace the PCV valve if you haven't already. Be sure that you have 2 o-rings where your PCV valve sits in the UIM. IIRC, there should be one around the metal body of the PCV valve itself, and then a larger one in the UIM itself where the MAP sensor housing twists onto it. Should also be a spring on top of the PCV between the top. That would cause a massive vac leak right there.

When my MAP was separating and causing a leak I never got a code for it. I just had a horrible idle and had to 2-foot it to keep it running in drive at idle (stop lights, etc...).

The suction sound when you rap on the throttle sounds normal. You will hear some suction as the air is pulled into the motor. If you suspect a vac. leak in that area then with it idling spray carb cleaner around the TB area and see if the idle changes. If you find a spot that makes the motor change it's tone then that is a vac. leak.

Problem solved, thanks guys for your help and support. Apparently when the LIM gasket failed it pushed oil and coolant through the exhaust covering the o2 sensor, I managed to fry my maf sensor and the map sensor was covered in oil, i changed those and then had to unplug the o2 sensor drive it around the block to get the temp up, once that happened, plugged the o2 sensor back in and it drove great, sorry for getting snappy with some, but I think we all know how working on a car for a period of time can get to us, thanks again.
