Ok is it just me or is the HV3 over priced? Its a piece of ****ing plastic! I just don't get it are there any identical products that are the same but more reasonably priced. That stupid piece of molded plastic makes me think of manufacturing my own same exact thing just priced better.

ZZP is really the only source for that particular piece, since they developed it themselves...

And that being the case, there's no competition for that product, so then it becomes all about what ZZP can get people to pay for it, and that's really the bottom line.

If people will pay 200 for it (and they've shown they will), they'll charge 200 for it... if they could get more without worrying about losing customers, Im sure they would try.
then Im also sure there are some materials cost, cost of advertising it, cost of actually having it made, etc

Believe me, I wish it were cheaper too, Im looking into one myself, lol... try to find a used one in the for sale forum, sometimes you can get em for half off or less.

I don't think you understand.. They aren't a charity, they need to make their dollar just like everyone else. They spent man hours working and developing multiple generations of the HV3. You cant just take a hack saw to a piece of plastic and come out with a product that works.

They are also the only ones selling anything like it as other people have said. They get to price it how they want, and a lot of people bought it and still want it. They don't stay for sale very long on the forums if you haven't noticed.

Ok that piece of plastic probably costs like $20 to mold and what not. ZZP just seems like they are out to make a quick buck. I don't blame them but its stupid when you see that plastic part going for that kind of cash. Some one needs to start making knock offs of this sheet. ****ing get that made in japan and we got are selves a nice inexpensive mod. Just do something different like color and name it something else and your ready for distribution. Ebay here i come!!! :P

Can someone measure the height of this?

All you need to do is trim your runners....

You are paying for the development and for the benefits it provides. No body is forcing you to buy it.

i imagine its akin to putting headers on a bone stock L36.

so no one has one of these out of their car that they can measure?

And yes I know the original HV was .5".

You can piss and moan all you want, but I highly doubt that will get you anywhere. Maybe you can score a used one for half the price, if you do, more power to ya. You gotta pay to play.

From what I understand you need to get it tuned for the HV3 to get the full effect. I have one and am waiting to put it in, already have the open cone,3" downpipe and tune. Once I put it in I'm sure I'll feel a difference.

Yea honestly at first all i noticed was the sound difference. But idk what was wrong with me lol. There is def a difference especially after 30mph and you hammer it.I did a run the other day down my block with my listed mods and altogether my car is very quick.Next mods is convert to FWI and then tune.

And actually while on the note of the HV3. I am actually considering picking up one and and some ER rockers. Or.... I might buy a used L32 engine for a few hundred bucks and getting the S/C rebuilt and ported. Decisions, decisions....
