hey guys, i have been looking and reading about rocker's (dont tell me to install a cam).
my questions are witch one is the best for my car.

N/A with headers down pipe, and intake.

    i found those
    ZZ Performance

    ZZ Performance

what other parts should i also buy?
will i feel a little difference?
how hp will should i be expecting?
to be more on the safe side what other mods should i do at the same time?

    thanks

I guess the er rockers are better for a n/a car, never delt with them tho. If you are staying n/a get a hv3 and a plog and dp or headers. then a tune.

Plog- ported front manifold (zzp makes them)

The rollers are less valve train friction. If your going to run 1.9 rollers i would also pick up L76 valve springs to go with them. If your going to run 1.9 modded ones you can keep your stock springs but, you wont be able to raise shift points past 5800, due to valve float.

ok lets say i get the 1.9 modded and keep the stock springs,

what else would i need to run them.

because i dont think i will have my car tuned to have it shift over 5800..

The Plog is not a ported front mani - it is a Power Log. It is a replacement for the front manifold that flows better than stock.

To the OP: You are going to want the ER rockers for sure. They make more power on N/A cars. ZZP has a tech article on them as well if you are interested in reading it. You will also need a rocker install kit. You might as well replace the factory springs with LS6 springs too.

Another mod I would recommend with that setup is ZZP's HV3. Good for some decent HP especially paired with rockers and headers.

If you do those two things you should get some pretty decent gains.

ER rockers tend to add 15-20HP

    thanks for the help,
I heard instead of buy ZZP's HV3 you can just remove the runners and that will do the same thing??..

has any one heard of that?

I've seen a couple guys cut the runners down to accomplish the same. The posted good results, but it's unknown if that is as good as HV3 or maybe better.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

? like i said zzp makes them brahh

you can use L76 (g8 gt) valve springs, their a little cheaper, and a tad softer than ls6 springs, their good if your never going cammed. Ive used them on my rocker'd car for about 20,000 miles.

You will like the ER rockers. I also recommend you get the HV3.

You said they are ported front manis.. They are a complete redesign. Your post could have mislead him to think he needs ported manis, not a PLOG, since you said they were the same thing brahhh.

Mj had a pretty valid point.. just sayin

Plog and ported manifolds are different things, that's all he meant...
That can be really confusing for a guy who doesnt know
