I would like to clean up my throttle body but upon trying to remove it from the 3 bolts I find that a brakcet is holding it in place coming from the LIM.Funny thing is the bolt into the TB is missing but the bracket still wont budge. Now do i have to remove my crossover to just get that bolt/bracket off or is there an easier way?

You should be able to get in there and unbolt it from the lim to pull it off with the throttle body. I removed mine when I had my impala. Never hurt anything

There is a bolt holding the bracket onto the LIM. It's a 9/16 IIRC. If you can't get to it with an open-end wrench then do what I did and wedge a small prybar between the TB and the bracket and GENTLY push it to the left. Once I got my TB off I just removed that bracket and left it off.

oh ok that makes sense.I'll try that. Now is it okay if I use brake parts cleaner to clean my TB or do I need TB specific cleaner?

Remove the MAF sensor *CAREFULLY* and clean the TB with Carb/Injector cleaner, should be next to the brake cleaner. Get some MAF cleaner if they have it and spray the wire with the cleaner, do NOT touch the wire with anything, just spray it clean and let it dry. Then clean the TB and once your done itll be ready to be put back together

Yeah actually it was very easy(cleaned the tb faster than swapping my thermostat)I just used a flat head screwdriver and pushed the bracket out the way. Then the unbolting and cleaning was cake. Try it.
