I have a 2000 gp gt with 3.8 L and 150,000 miles on it. Recently ive been having a hesitation problem where i have no power and it acts like it wants to stall, otherwise idles just fine. It only happens when the engine is cold and in gear. after a few minuts of warming up, problem goes away completely and doesnt come back. which i find more odd is if it sits for a period of 15 min or more, problem comes back until engine is warmed up enough again. i unplugged the maf sensor to see if that would have any effect, but with no luck. cleaned the tbody and all sensors inside but that didnt fix it either. a mechanic told me it could be dirty injectors, faulty maf, faulty coolant temp sensor, and a number of other problems. not going to rule any of those things out, but would anybody in here know what would cause this specific problem? ses light dont come on and doesnt pull a code. dont want to pay some ahole hundreds of $s to fix something i can do myself. any suggestions?

    Look into the catalytic converter.

First, do you still have one?
    If so:
Has it ever been replaced? They were only designed for 90k

If you unplugged the maf, and had no difference I would start there.
If you have somebody with a datalogger,
check reading of the maf sensor
make sure the o2 sensors form sin waves
the map sensor reads 100-103kpa when the car is off with the key on and a consistent amount of vacuum at idle.

Heard they were a problem after purchasing it from a car dealer. I do not know if mine has been replace. is there anyway of figuring this out? I am having problems with losing power on the roades, sputtering enigine, and going from one gear to another when i give it lots of gas. I am switching out the fuel pump today becuase my fuel pressure is 45psi. Know it needs to be 55psi. but if anyone knows how i could tell if the cat converter was replace it would be appreciated.
