Time for a tune up is due. I've heard the autolite 605 or 606s are a good choice. Just regular old copper? or perhaps the double platinum or extreme performance? Any ones better than the others? Also when doing my tune up do the coils need to be changed? Or cleaned? Or just plain left alone?

Leave the coils alone, since your N/A go with Delco iridium plugs, Thay are a bit pricey at 8$ a piece. stock replacement wires are good as well, unless you are looking for some color under th hood.

Any particular reason you suggest iridium? I've always been told copper will provide the truest most reliable spark and will last the longest. But than again I've could've been told wrong lol. Just playing devils advocate and just seeing what everyone thinks.

coppers last the least. If you dont pan on modding the car much just get the stock replacement delco.

For sure stick with the 606s, you want to stay in the stock heat range. You could buy the more expensive plugs if you want, but copper is best they just don’t last as long. The coils don’t need any attention, wipe the bugs off and go.

Copper lasts around 20,000 miles. Stock Delco Iriduims last 100,000.

coppers are really only good for 10-15k miles...

i usually changed them every 2-3 oil changes because they are cheap as dirt.
