Hi guys. A brief background before I get to my question. I am currently running the 1" spectra radiator. I replaced my stock 5/8's one due to a leaking tank. Well I noticed some coolant leaking the other day from the car. I took a look and I see there is a small leak on the passenger side tank. I have had the radiator since May of 2011. I can't use the warranty which is 2 years from the date of purchase.

Has anyone else had any issues with spectra?

I am looking at other brands such as vista-pro, TYC and propart on rockauto. Has anyone had experience with these brands or recommend a brand? I have also looked at the ZZP 1" radiator but I am unsure of what brand they use.

I am going to stay with the 1" size for my NA.

    Thanks

I got the vista-pro its done well so far. the only unfortunate thing is that it was designed for the newer fan layout but it will work. the upper and lower mounts will line up perfectly but the side you may have to do some engineering

Thanks. I took another look to trace the location of the leak. The leak is actually leaking at the upper trans line where the plastic of the fitting meets the plastic of the tank. Going to try and fix it.

I would personally recommend replacing the radiator, rock auto has the 15/16ths core for cheap its worth replacing before it cracks after you fix it. I used a fiberglass and resin and it held for two weeks very well but it cracked again somewhere else.

I will end up replacing it. I need to buy me a about a week until payday. For now this will be a temporary fix.

I was just looking for feedback on other brand radiators and any feedback on others using the spectra.
