i mean things like a clogged cat, bad spark plug, dirty throttle body, or weak fuel pump will cause the car to be sluggish, i would start checkin those and start ruling things out

check the cat. i just had this issue and the ses light didnt come on for about a week and when it did it was for a secondary air injection fault not the cat. Well yours is an 07 mines an 02 but i have 70000 on mine. I dont know about the 07's but if there is an o2 sensor before the cat take it out and run the car. If it runs better then its the cat

secondary air injection if he has a california or texas built. the best way to check for a clogged cat to go to a credible exhaust shop and have them check for back pressure before and after the CAT if it reads above 4psi while running then its for a sure a clogged cat. i fixed my problem by replacing my MAF i noticed my IAT wasnt working correctly and placed it you can test it by unplugging and drive it and see if it runs better with it unplugged then its the Maf assembley

If you remove the o2 sensor and go beat on it and it seems like it runs great...then its the cat...especially if you screw it back in and the performance goes back to sh1t. You don't have to pay money to take it to an exhaust shop to diagnose that.
