:th_shakinghead2:
Well I suggest u look at my post "hood scoops pt 1" if u think they r fake. I got pics of the whole process making them real. Check it out:th_thumbsup-wink:
post pic rocafella!
I just did mine on a 2005 3800 naturaly aspirated, and attached a small breather filter to the crankcase breather hose which used to be attached to the stock air intake box. When I first start the car it hisses like a mother f****r for like 15-20 seconds from that breather. Is that ok? I wasn't sure if that was ok. I have done a CAI before on my 2003 silverado 5.3L, but there was a place to attach the crankcase breather. Anyone have any ideas? Should I reatach it somewhere to the CIA pipe? It seems to run fine the way it is.
Thats not a crankcase hose.... thats the intake hose.
The hissing is either your IAC valve being a noisy whore or you have an intake leak.
Ok, I was really not sure what it was and just took a guess. So should I somehow connect it back to the CAI? Or is it ok to leave it disconnected with a breather hose. Assuming if it's an IAC valve hose it needs to be connected to the CAI. I'll take a pic and post it later.
got done with mines too :D
I can't tell if you're talking about a hose for the PCV system or the intake itself.
Pics plz
IAC valve hose? lol wut? The IAC is a sensor...you just plug it in...it is in the TB. Either your talking about taking the IAT out or you have an '04+ car...
Finnaly got the pictures of what im talking about. Like I said I have no idea what it is, or what i need to do with it after installing a cold air intake. As I stated before the hose that i put the little breather on used to go into the back of the stock air intake housing and used the same filtered air as the air intake. can I leave it as is? or do I need to figure out how to hook it back up to the air intake?

WTF?!@#
what does it hook up to?
I know. Some sort of canister it looks like.
pictures?
PCV? I had soemthing like that too its an 04+.. I just drilled a whole in my intake and put it back in as it was in the intake originally
does it have something to do with emissions?
Not 100 percent sure. Guy at work said thats what he thought it was. I was unsure and to be safe made a hole for it. I dont have a picture of it but I will try to get one tonight. Mine is a metal intake also not the PVC like a lot that are made on here

Some sort of vent hose
It is an 05 grand prix. I bought a namebrand intake and returned it twice and called the company I bought it from because they had no place to connect the hose. And they had no idea what I was talking about either. I'm just a little confused by this one stupid hose. The car runs fine though and it's been on for just under a month. I'll get more pictures soon.
