hey guys post your 0-60's on your NA grand prixs. I have done some mods to my car and it seems slow from what i have put in so i wana see what you guys are getting if my something is wrong with my car or not.

My car is a 1998 grand prix gt, 151***kms

Right now im getting approx. 9.5 secs for 0-60mph and same time for 60kmh-120kmh rolling start. My mods- ZZP HV3, Overkill v4.0 pcm tune, K&N CAI, ZZP 2.5inch DP w/ u-bend delete, 3inch Magnaflow high flow cat, Magnaflow mufflers.

I am kinda getting frusterated with this whole thing, since a stock gt has a 8.1 second 0-60. I am quite tempted to buy my dads 2007 grand prix gxp with the 5.3 at the end of the year when his lease is up then all my issues would be solved lol.
    Thanks for the input guys

That HV3 could be hurting your bottom end without a converter. I had an HV3 and it robbed a bit of torque from the low end, shortly after that I cammed it and put a higher stall converter in there so to compensate. There still wasn't very much umph in the low end. Top end was wicked though.

    Ok, im confused

"Right now im getting approx. 9.5 secs for 0-60 and same time for 60-120km rolling start"

Is that 0 to 60 KM\H or MPH? because 9.5 seconds for 0 to 60 MPH sounds kind of slow and REALLY slow if its KM\H thats like 37MPH On the first statement it sounds like your using mph but then on the second one you specify kilometers.

o yea my bad. Yea with the 0-60 that would be mph, and the 60-120 is in km, i will now edit that lol.

If your car is that slow with the mods then I would start checking the basics. How's your compression and O2s working? I've got 113K miles and I get 8.7 0-60 without any special technique or any mods at all, just stomp the throttle.
2001 Grand Prix GTP - Daily Driver12" front brake upgrade ('05 Monte), Raptor tune, Open cone, Front and rear strut tower braces, SS brake hoses, BMR trailing arms, ZZP 3" catted downpipe, Dorman front sway bar, GMPP rear sway bar, solid trans and engine mount, flipped dog bones and Borla exhaust.

im not sure why this pertains to anything being right or wrong with your car since a 0-60 is based entirely on the driver and mods done.

with a compression tester. however, a leak down tester is what you really want to do.

Im pulling low to mid 7s on a good launch with only an intake. Its a 2000 coupe with 62,000 miles. I would say something is wrong! My Lumina with the 3100 with intake and cat-back was pulling high 8s

According to my LS1m 5.2 sec 0-60 I would do a compression check, You forsure have something going on. Trans shifting solid? Engine pulling? stumbling? A scan would be very helpful also. How are you figuring your 0-60 time?

To get my 0-60 time as soon as I accelerate I start the stopwatch then once I hit 60mph I stop it. I just found out my tires were low on air, I filled them up. Just waiting for it to be dry out to test again. Maybe I'll up the octane too?

lower tire pressure = more traction actually... Worse for the tires, lowers their speed rating as well as increasing wear but more traction.

octane wont matter unless its knocking.

and dude... 3.8 pulley CANNOT make 500 ft lbts no matter what you've done...
