I have read a lot about putting on different mufflers and exhaust work. For my 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix (Non-Gt - single exhaust). Was going to do exhaust awhile ago, but stuff came up. I am looking at doing a Dynomax muffler with a dynomax glasspack inplace of the resonator.

What Dynomax muffler should I go with? I am looking at eaither the Thrush Turbo or the Super Turbo?

I dont want it to be a whole lot louder than stock, what it to have a better tone over stock.

Also what size of resonator inlet and outlet do I need? As well as muffler?

If you got video clips link me up!

    Thanks!

STOP SAYING THAT THE MUFFLERS ARE 2.25" INLET/OUTLET!!

the STOCK mufflers are a 2" inlet.

So is the glasspack going to be 2.25 or 2" inlet and Im assuming its going to be 2" outlet for the glass pack as well?

anything before the y-bend (where you'd put the glasspack) is 2.25". anything after the y-bend (where you'd put the mufflers) is 2".

okay so I need a 2.25 inlet 2.00 outlet glass pack with a 2.00 inlet muffler? Now am I going to sound pretty close to stock with a bit of a deeper tone? I do a lot of driving with this so I have been doing a lot of research. I know for sure I will be doing a ZZP 3" Downpipe with highflow cat and replacing resonator with a glass pack. A buddy of mine just picked up an 05 GT with a 3" Downpipe and high flow cat and I like the sound of the duals, but want it a little deeper. Im having a hard time even trying to find a GT Rear facia, all they have exhaust wise is the same as ours but a y split correct or is that a single in dual out muffler?

no, you need a 2.25" to 2.25" glasspack and 2" to 2" muffler.

anytime you change the mufflers the car is going to get louder. i suggest you put in a glasspack and run the 3" downpipe with the stock mufflers to see if you like it. it does change the exhaust note a little.

all the GT/GTPs have a Y split to two mufflers.
